We are all used to having wraps for lunch or dinner. They are easy and you can eat without making a mess when on the go. Now, wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could out your favourite Thai noddles in a wrap too? The answer is always a yes! Yes it is! Enter my Pad […]

Its time for a quick bite before hitting the gym this morning and I am excited that quick bite is Chia pudding!  I had some mangoes left over from last night when I made mango salsa and thought this was great way to use up rest of the mangoes. Health benefits of: Chia seeds: Chia seeds […]

Black Bean Mango Tacos

May 28 , 2014 by Drishty - in Mains

When I am in Tex-Mex mood, which is more often than I’d like to admit, I usually go for tacos. I usually make my own black bean patties, which I will post a recipe for soon, however, when I am feeling lazy I go for Morning Star’s Spicy Black Bean Burger. Its ready and it […]

This mango salsa is not only fresh and colourful, but it just takes minutes to prepare and is super healthy! Trust me when I say this, it will disappear almost as quickly as you make it! Chopped mango adds bursts of sweetness so using a ripe mango is really important.  Ingredients: 1 Cup chopped mango […]

The first time I ever had 7 layer dip, I went bananas over it! It’s one of the simplest things you can make and you won’t believe how delicious this tastes. With approximately 165 calories per mug, this dip is super tasty and healthy. Ingredients: *Per Cup of Dip  2 Tablespoons of Refried Beans […]

Bonjour, my name is Drishty Ghadia. I was born and raised in India, where in a Vegetarian household I developed my love for cooking spicy food. Then later on moving to and spending 10+ years in the US, I found myself dumbstruck and in love with the high sugar, high fructose corn syrup, high cholesterol - yet oh so addictive food. I mean have you ever gone through an entire menu of The Cheese Cake Factory?

In the past few years I have jumped countries yet again and now I live in the land of Fish and Chips and Yorkshire Pudding - the lovely UK. I love to travel and I believe that you have to taste a culture to understand it. Italian, Spanish, Chinese, French, Swiss, German, Moroccan, Japanese, Malaysian, Sri Lankan, Indian, Peruvian, South African, Kenyan, Middle Eastern - you name it, I've eaten it and tried to make some vegetarian fusion version of it in my kitchen.

Food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison. I will be recreating some original and some fusion recipes from my travels in my kitchen and will share them with you here. Hope you enjoy them!
